Amdavadi Roller coaster

How many of you have spent 100`s of rupees , waiting in the queue to sit in the Essel World`s rides or for that matter any Theme Park ride..???? Most might have gone specially to have this experience.
But for the aam Amdavadi(a.k.a A Mango Amdavadi ), this is almost a daily affair. Now for those of you wondering when the hell did an amusement park come-up in Amdavad... Its one of the best rides that you can get for price of partly few rupees and the experience .. OMG... even Disney theme park would not be able to provide this kind of an experience. Still wondering what I am referring to? Here`s another clue. It can be deemed as one of the longest rides that can be built and it spans to every nook and corner of the city.(still thinking!!! have a Chlormint and Dimag ki Batti shayad jale)

Here`s the answer A.M.T.S(Ahemdavad Municipal Transport Service)(aahhh.... and you thought you did not know this !!!)

For those who have traveled through the cheapest (in terms of money) transport, knows now what i am referring to.
Board any bus during the peak hours and you learn all the dance steps without even moving a single part of your body. All you got to do us just climb in it( don`t think I am kidding !!)
If you think you have managed to do it , don't feel relaxed, this is just a beginning , Step 2 next herculean task is paying for the ticket.(now what`s wrong in paying for the cheapest ticket??) The cheapness itself is a problem. You tender a Rs. 10 note saying you do not have change and you will promptly be asked to get off the bus( must be wondering what the hell just happened??what did I do wrong?) The conductor says he does not have change(he`s actually right though, tendering change to all the travellers is almost impossible)
Even after you scrap through all your empty pockets finding few coins and buy the fare, the fun does not end here. The real fun begins now.The Driver.. probably he has the loudest horn in the city and the only place he finds it to blow in is your ears, the way he drives the giant 6 wheeler in the narrow streets of Amdavad, one would feel as if a F1 driver is driving his Ferrari and the experience, like I mentioned earlier, even Disney will find it difficult to provide. The way the Bus moves , barely missing the passing vehicles by inches, you will probably start reciting the names of all the Gods in the world(no wonder god`s have sleepless "Baporia" , afternoon sleeps)

All the thrill mentioned above lasts only minutes(what!!!) yes minutes. The speed of the bus is breath stopping , no soul dare`s to overtake this mammoth. And when someone does, Just read the news paper next day to find his pic in some hospital ward.

Everything said and done ... AMTS is the lifeline of Amdavad, just like the suburban local trains of Mumbai, no matter how late it arrives, once you board it, it will surely drop you to your destination.(literally...)(phew!!!)
